Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Non-Medical Healthcare Assistant/Caregiver to join our team. As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing non-medical support and assistance with daily activities. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, reliable, and committed to promoting the well-being of those in our care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with Daily Activities: Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

  2. Companionship: Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and caring environment.

  3. Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals based on individual dietary needs and restrictions.

  4. Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including maintaining a clean and safe living environment for the client.

  5. Medication Reminders: Assist clients in adhering to their medication schedules, as directed by healthcare professionals.

  6. Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility issues by providing support with walking, transferring, and positioning.

  7. Transportation: Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and outings as needed.

  8. Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with clients, their families, and other members of the healthcare team.

  9. Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of care provided, changes in the client's condition, and any other relevant information.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous Experience: Proven experience as a caregiver or similar role is preferred.

  2. Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrated ability to connect with and care for individuals with diverse needs and backgrounds.

  3. Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong commitment to the assigned schedule.

  4. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  5. Physical Fitness: Ability to perform tasks that may require physical strength and endurance.

  6. CPR/First Aid Certification: Certification in CPR and First Aid is desirable, but not required.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or certification in caregiving is a plus.
